OMG I can鈥檛 believe this. I have the same blinking R I think it was because I was holding the adjust button and I let go halfway. I was trying to set the timer but I pressed it for one second and let it go normally to set the time or you have to hold it until it鈥檚 done so I really cannot believe and understand what is going on.

In any case, the reset should cause the watch to revert to 12:00:00 AM and 01/01 of the earliest supported year in the watch. But, sometimes it doesn't work the first time.
